Adding by link is ideal for preserving precise content found during your monitoring.
Add the link
- In Inspiration, click Add.
- Choose From a link.
- Paste a full URL, preferably the public and definitive address of the content.
- Let Dailyfy analyze the link and check the obtained preview. On the mobile app, tap the “Analyze link” button to display the preview.
- Choose the format if automatic detection is not correct: image, video, carousel, website, or other.
- Add a note, labels and one or more lists if needed.
- Confirm with Add or Create depending on the device.
If the preview is incomplete
Some sites restrict automatic access to their images or descriptions. Try the canonical URL of the publication, check that the content is public, then re-run the analysis. You can still correct the format and add a note explaining the link’s usefulness.
Best practices
- Prefer a public URL without unnecessary tracking parameters.
- For Facebook, use the link to the publication, reel, or video rather than the general page address.
- For TikTok, use the URL of a specific video containing its ID rather than a share link like vm.tiktok.com/url because we will not be able to retrieve the post preview (we will still add it to your inspiration but only with a link). Ideally, to have the TikTok preview, your link should look like this: www.tiktok.com
- Do not store private, confidential, or client-only links in a shared library.
