The exit rate of your Stories is an important indicator for measuring the engagement of your audience.
Here’s how it’s calculated:
- Closing the application When users completely exit Instagram while viewing your Story.
- Click on the cross (X) On iOS, when users click on the close button in the top right-hand corner of your Story.
- Swipe to main feed: Still on iOS, when users swipe the screen on your Story to return to their News Feed.
Please note:
These actions indicate that the user does not wish to continue viewing your Stories.
Some features may vary depending on the platform (iOS or Android).
Tip: To reduce your exit rate, create captivating content from the very first seconds of your Story!
