Understand the limits of Bio statistics

1 min read0 views

  • A view corresponds to an id kept in the browser session storage, not to an authenticated person.
  • The same visitor can be counted multiple times if they switch tabs, browsers, devices or sessions; several people can also share a session.
  • Blockers, privacy settings, network errors and very quick departures can prevent event sending.
  • The referrer can be removed by an application or a browser and appear as direct traffic.
  • The IP location is approximate and can be distorted by a VPN, a proxy or a mobile network. The IP location is recorded only if the user accepts cookies.
  • Scrolling and retention are technical estimates; they do not prove reading or attention.
  • Tests run in the Dailyfy preview are excluded to avoid polluting the data.
